IQAC Highlights the Importance of Effective Policy Formulation at KYAU

The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Khwaja Yunus Ali University (KYAU) organized a seminar titled “Revisiting Policy Formulation” on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at 1:50 PM at the University’s Conference Room of Administrative Building. A total of 91 participants, including faculty members and relevant officials, attended the seminar and actively participated in discussions on policy formulation, implementation, and review.

Prof. Dr. Mostofa Mahmud Hasan, Director, IQAC, KYAU, served as the Resource Person. In his presentation, he highlighted the importance of formulating, reviewing, and updating institutional policies in response to evolving academic, administrative, and quality assurance requirements. He emphasized that effective policies are essential for ensuring good governance, transparency, accountability, consistency, and continuous institutional development.

Professor Dr. Hasan further stressed the need for institutional policies to be practical, clearly defined, properly documented, and effectively implemented. He also emphasized the importance of periodic policy review to ensure their continued relevance and effectiveness in addressing emerging academic and administrative needs.

At the meeting, Additional Director Mr. Md. Matiur Rahman invited questions and feedback and clarified the Director’s remarks on the accreditation submission process and its requirements.

In conclusion, Honorable Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Asraf Ali emphasized the importance of quality research and encouraged faculty members to engage in innovative research for academic excellence and national development.

The seminar was part of IQAC’s ongoing efforts to strengthen quality assurance, governance, and accreditation preparedness at KYAU, reaffirming the University’s commitment to sustainable academic and administrative excellence.
