UGC Inspection Marks Progress Towards Launch of M. Pharm Programme at KYAU

Khwaja Yunus Ali University (KYAU) — 27 August 2026: The Department of Pharmacy at Khwaja Yunus Ali University underwent a formal inspection in connection with the proposed introduction of the Master of Pharmacy (M. Pharm) programme, as part of the University Grants Commission (UGC) approval process.
Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Mazid, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, University of Dhaka, conducted the inspection and reviewed the department’s academic activities, educational standards, teaching-learning environment, laboratory and academic facilities, faculty resources, and overall preparedness for launching the postgraduate programme.
The inspection provided an important opportunity to assess the department’s capacity to offer advanced pharmacy education in accordance with the required academic and institutional standards. Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Mazid shared valuable professional observations and constructive recommendations to further strengthen the department’s academic infrastructure and preparedness for the proposed programme.
The successful completion of the inspection marks an important step forward in the Department of Pharmacy’s efforts to introduce the M. Pharm programme at KYAU and expand opportunities for advanced pharmacy education and professional development.
