IQAC Hosts Two Research Seminars

The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Khwaja Yunus Ali University (KYAU) organized the first session of its Research Seminar Series on Tuesday, August 4, 2026. The seminar brought together 70 faculty members from the university's three faculties to promote innovative research and interdisciplinary collaboration. The program was hosted by Mr. Md. Rahat Khan, Lecturer, Department of CSE.

Smart Agriculture for Sustainable Bangladesh

The first presentation was delivered by Mr. Md. Hasibur Rahman, Lecturer, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, presented his research titled "IoT-Enabled Mushroom Farm Automation with Machine Learning to Classify Toxic Mushrooms in Bangladesh." His presentation highlighted an intelligent farming system that integrates IoT technology with Machine Learning to monitor environmental conditions in real time and accurately classify edible and toxic mushrooms. The research demonstrates significant potential to improve productivity, enhance food safety, and promote sustainable mushroom cultivation in Bangladesh.

Understanding Dividend Policy and Market Stability

In the second session, Mr. Md. Moniruzzaman, Assistant Professor, Department of Business Administration, presented "Do Determinants of Dividend Policy Affect Stock Price Volatility of Listed Companies in Bangladesh?" The study examined how dividend payout ratio, dividend yield, earnings stability, and firm size influence stock price volatility. The findings provide valuable insights for investors, corporate managers, and policymakers, contributing to a better understanding of corporate financial decisions and capital market stability in Bangladesh.

Encouraging Research and Academic Networking

In his concluding remarks, Prof. Dr. Mostofa Mahmud Hasan, Director of IQAC, encouraged faculty members to actively participate in national and international conferences and to visit universities across the country to exchange knowledge and broaden their research experience. He emphasized that greater academic exposure would strengthen research capacity and inspire high-quality scholarly contributions.

The seminar concluded with an interactive discussion among the participants, reflecting KYAU's strong commitment to quality research, interdisciplinary collaboration, and academic excellence.
